I am a retired commercial banker and a former founding Board member of a small independent bank in Arizona. My career covered virtually every segment of commercial banking with an emphasis on commercial, real estate, construction and private banking borrowing requirements. Also, I was an internal bank auditor, a regional loan supervisor and sat on numerous loan committees for various banks. I was born, raised and retired in the San Diego area, later moving to Arizona and then to Nevada. My clients covered such industries as: manufacturing, distribution, contractors and sub-contractors, medical/health care, aerospace, sports, education, etc. This background lends well to mentoring new and established entrepreneurs who have passion, a drive to succeed and commitment for making their dreams a reality. Nurturing startups thru the myriad of challenges, roadblocks and unforseen pitfalls in order to reach their goals is exciting and rewarding. Straightforward talk and communication are a MUST between parties to gain trust and confidence on both sides of the table. Always intrigued by visiting clients place of business to glean knowledge not received in an in-office setting. Successful long term client relationships depend on a two way exchange of information with the management team and their respective CPA's, attorney's, insurance professionals and other strategic advisors. My strategy is to always to provide clients alternatives/options in their decision making tasks. Goal setting and action plans serve to keep the focus in the right direction.
