Gary I Geschwind

I have run development and marketing groups in small and large businesses as a VP of Operations and VP of Marketing and Business Development. I have co-founded four companies, in industrial products, financial services and social networking on a mobile platform. I hold several patents and have extensive experience in intellectual property and trade secrets. I helped my daughter start and run her clothing boutique and learn the fundamentals of pricing. I have been involved in government contracting for over 10 years and have raised money from venture capitalists and angel investors. At SCORE, I counsel a wide range of businesses, from retail stores to high technology manufacturing companies. Successful clients have started a business to bring people together to play games and socialize. Others opened a high-end retail store; another is a painter specializing in murals and other custom work. I believe in open communication with my clients and I have hands-on techniques to help startups develop SWOT analyses (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats), cash flow models, and a detailed time-line of tasks to get their business off the ground. I have taught workshops in cash flow management, pricing and innovation and entrepreneurship.
