Kirk is a highly seasoned finance and operations professional with broad experience in managing operational and technical organizations. His management style, leadership and inter-personal skills have resulted in the development of people-oriented solutions in support of dynamic and fluid business and quality situations. He is a consistent and productive innovator who interacts well with people and effectively communicates ideas and solutions.
At American Express, Kirk directed a cross-functional, global customer service organization that generated over $50 million in revenue with an expense budget of $10 million. He negotiated contracts with international service organizations assuring the highest level of customer service at the lowest possible cost resulting in more than 20% reduction of operations costs in a two year period.
He directed a Merchant Processing Reengineering team that was responsible to design and implement changes to increase revenues, reduce costs, increase customer satisfaction, and enhance operational capabilities. Over a five-year period, his accomplishments resulted in decreased costs and increased revenues in excess of $150 million annually while maintaining merchant satisfaction levels. He also implemented electronic solutions to improve the quality and timeliness of customer communications.
Kirk provided leadership to implement self-directed work teams in an organization known for its strong commitment to a traditional organizational structure. Kirk managed a project to install the only multi-language, disabled-accessible worldwide network of automated teller machines. He achieved the highest uptime for a remote ATM network in the industry through hardware, software, and maintenance solutions. He provided leadership and project management to meet user community information needs by replacing traditional mainframe computing solutions with personal computer solutions.
He directed accounting, personnel, and payroll operations during a transition from public to private ownership and reduced staff and costs while increasing operational effectiveness.
Kirk has mentored approximately 500 entrepreneurs and small businesses as a member of SCORE in the areas of:

He has also conducted more than 50 workshops on behalf of Greater Phoenix SCORE and is an Adjunct Professor of Accounting at Scottsdale Community College.
