I am Sylvia Browder, CEO of Browder Consulting Group LLC,  a virtual boutique small business consulting firm. In this role, I provide business development and growth, online and offline marketing support, website design and maintenance, strategic planning and more. In essence, I help women in business grow and succeed.  I am Founder of ‘National Association Women on the Rise,’ a global association for aspiring and established women entrepreneurs and authors. Our mission is to provide professional and personal resources while uplifting and empowering women entrepreneurs through collaboration, education, mentoring, spiritual and peer support, leadership and networking. In addition, I am publisher of ‘Sylvia Browder’s Blog for Women Entrepreneurs.’

For the last 7 years, I was employed as Project Director and business consultant for the Women’s Business Center Inc, a non-profit economic development organization with a mission of empowering women to start and grow successful businesses.  I’ve also served as a volunteer online SCORE counselor since 2004. SCORE, “Counselors to America’s Small Business” is a nonprofit association dedicated to educating entrepreneurs and the formation, growth and success of small business nationwide.

I have over 28 years of corporate and business experience, which includes working in various customer service roles in the telecommunication and retail industries; working for start up and small established companies; and as a successful entrepreneur.

I earned a B.S. in Fashion Merchandising with a Minor in Marketing in December 1990 from Southeastern Louisiana University. In addition, I joined the United States Army Reserves in 1986 while completing my studies.

In 2000, I launched a start-up building maintenance company and grew it into a thriving and respected business. In 2004, after leaving San Diego County and moving to Mobile, AL., I decided to dabble into entrepreneurship again… so I launched a home based virtual small business support and consulting company providing administrative and marketing services to small businesses throughout the United States.

Thirty-one years in sales management, merchandising and marketing in wholesale apparel with retail apparel involvement.Retired from major U.S. branded apparel corporation. Twelve years in international trade, establishing and managing export operations to Latin America and Caribbean. Business consulting in U.S. and Latin America.

Career steel industry as well as experience in all aspects of building and running a small to midsize business. Specialize in advice related to engineering ,purchasing, sales, negotiations, and business plans and strategies.
